My name is Rosie Stokes and I have been a qualified teacher for over 20 years. I have had the pleasure of working with children of many different ages in a variety of schools across Essex and Southend. I currently work in a large primary school as an Assistant SENDCo after completing my National Award in Special Educational Needs Co-ordination.
I have the privilege of teaching children in our alternative provision base alongside working with families to access the support and guidance they need for their children. I have a personal interest in Dyslexia with many of my family members having received a diagnosis at varying points in their school, university and work life and seeing the impact that has made on them.
I am qualified to carry out full diagnostic assessments for children and young adults aged 7-17 years. I hold an AMBDA Level 7 Post Graduate Certificate in Specialist Teaching and Assessment for Dyslexia from Canterbury Christchurch University. I also have an Assessment Practicing Certificate (APC) and am a full member of the Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS). I hold an enhanced DBS.
